Jobs are in demand always and as the population rises, the demand grows further. You must be careful in choosing the right job as you have to sustain it for long term. Getting a job is not as hard as retaining it. Finding job satisfaction and passion in what you do is very important.
This does not mean you must be greedy and over confident but find happiness in what you do. Look around you and you will find that you are better off than most others. It is easy to crib about your job but at least you have one. Find ways and means to improve your own self worth and better ways to find value add that you can bring to the job. Once you are satisfied you will be able to perform better as well. Performance is directly related to job satisfaction. That is why many managers spend extra time in keeping employees happy and helping them find meaning in their jobs and lives.
IT jobs were the hottest jobs in the last few decades but now this has reached stagnation as most of the tasks can be automated. It is still the fastest growing industry. It is sometimes hard to keep track of the new jobs that crop up in the IT industry. There are new and interesting streams now such as cyber security, cloud, data analytics, big data, data scientists, and so on. These fields have a dearth of manpower and are hot jobs currently and the jobs of the future as well. IT jobs were popular because of the high salaries and job satisfaction. It is said that digital transformation is driving the industry and creating a demand for new roles and more than 5 million jobs in IT are expected to be added globally by 2027.
